i have lived in Melbourne all my life and am sad at what, decades later, i now see

This  is  a  city  without  a  soul

Recently, my Council area, Boroondara, had a 'hard rubbish' collection. Suitcases, vaccuum cleaners, sofas, clothes, shoes, baby pools, stationery, glassware, plant pots, TV sets, CDs, computer parts, ... The waste sickened me. Much of it could be put in recycling bins but Boroondara residents, including Chinese, are too lazy. How many Earths are used up for this affluence/decadence? Doesn't anybody share possessions any more?

Melbourne is OVERPOPULATED, conceited, WASTEFUL. Indeed, to Melbourne, only Melbourne matters. The rest of the country -the rest of Victoria - can go to hell. Melburnians dare not think. That would mean dangerous. They are football mad, addicted to alcohol/coffee/poker machines (US: slots).

They're so blindly apathetic ('she'll be right, mate') that they don't even know what's happening under their noses (see Sydney Morning Herald article below). Talk about believing one's own publicity!

Melbourne is full of bored people steeped in Political Correctness (=conformity). Narcissus! These bored people can be found:

• in cosmopolitan cafes drinking or eating and/or inhaling toxic CO2 fumes. (i think the national poser capital is St Kilda)
• absorbing homosexual chic (so cool!) a la Ruby, Molly, Senator Gay Bob, Senator Pfenny Wong, Portia de Lez, or Sir Elton   [Two whats make a dyke?]

It seems OK to call Australia racist when Asia is a perfect example of racial harmony - NOT!
Fiji adopts long-term military rule as an alternative to having a Prime Minister of Indian descent. 
The Chinese have problems with the Tibetans and the Uyghurs (Uigers). The Japanese government won't give you citizenship even if you're spouse is Japanese. Indonesia restricts access to universities for Chinese, guest workers are denied citizenship in many countries eg Germany. Philipina workers in Hong Kong, Malaysia and more work 6-day weeks and are raped by Saudi Arabian hosts. Sri Lankans are used as slave labour in The Maldives. The list goes on...

Compared to discrimination in Asian nations, Australia is Eden!!
